Meeting the Editorial Principles & Guidelines are required for using this site, publishing content and any broadcasting.
We believe in a trusted, openly democratic, simple mass media capability that serves the interests of progressive society, accessible to all working people, their organisations and community groups.
The public gives trust expected through high standards, ethics, accuracy, from content and broadcast output in all its many forms.
Encouraged
We support journalism, news, documentary and media content:
- Building TRUST through INTEGRITY - as key to independent journalistic/production freedom and success that empowers working people and communities globally. Ensuring materials add to their well-being and enhancing real democracy enabling people to control the agenda and issues that matter to them most.
- Accuracy - for fact over opinion. To be well researched, referenced and authoritative. Seeking out information sources that take more time to explain things to audiences.
- Independence - avoiding conflict of interests, refusing kick-backs or activities that compromise integrity or may damage credibility. Clearly declare affiliations and motivations to build transparency.
- Fairness and impartiality - placing great stress on standards of fairness and impartiality. Material should be balanced and within context.
- Humanity - balance the public interest and need for information against potential harm or discomfort. Awareness and avoiding adverse impact of material on the lives of others, working people or communities.
- Accountability - with responsibility to promptly correct errors and omissions, with sincere regret avoiding any perceived cynicism.
- Observes the law - for example on libel, copyright and incitement to racial hatred and violence.
- Progressive content - high-quality media output that captures the interest of the target audience, providing information, innovative ideas, discussion, debate, education and culture. Continuously uplifting material, cultural and educational standards of working people, their families, communities and empowering change.

We will not necessarily publish material and reserve the right to exclude:
- Pornography or harmful material - to general audiences, children and young people. Unless for the purpose of science, biology, sociology, culture or art for progress of society.

- Personal attacks, abuse or character assassination - of any current or historical individual or community. Consider serious accusations require serious evidence.
- Violence or Discrimination - social inequality nor gender bias, racial, caste, religious, disability discrimination, incitement to violence, nor hate speach, nor national chauvinism advocating superiority of one’s values above others.
- Violation of national sovereignty - that affects independent nations, which have declared their independence, have an organized government and are self-contained, have a right to exist without other nations interfering. It is essentially the unspoken rule of a nation's right to exist and self determination including cessation.
- Personal ego - glorification and culture of individualism, contrary to collective efforts.
- Violation of democracy - disempowering working people in the decision making process.
- Profit driven organisations: promotions for sales, marketing, subscriptions and publishing.
